DESIGN ENGINEER

D.Invent's innovations vary from residential to infrastructure. We work with customers in a great diversity of projects including residential houses, bridges, and urban roads. Certain parts of these structures demand a standardized design, which require input from professional designers.

As a Design Engineer at D.Invent, you are expected to have an active role in D.Invent's ongoing projects, including both commercial design projects and in-house, confidential research and innovations. Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide professional structural design according to local specifications and national/international codes and standards.
    • Develop, review, update, and modify design alternatives including calculation sheets, reports, and drawings.
    • Ensure designs are compliant with local/international codes, standards, and client requirements.
    • If required, coordinate, monitor, review, and provide feedback to external design sub-contractors.
  • Involve in a project team of multi-national engineering professionals, through scheduled face-to-face or online meetings and related activities, to ensure delivery of effective and valuable projects.
  • Respect IP rights and maintain the confidentiality of D.Invent's innovations.

We are open to and welcome all candidates regardless of their backgrounds and locations.

We are open to a flexible work arrangement and this is based on mutual agreements between D.Invent and the successful candidate(s). You may choose to work permanently at our Sydney office, or as a remote, casual staff who will work and be paid on a contract basis.

PROTOTYPE TECHNICIAN

D.Invent regularly produces and tests a large number of prototypes of various scales, most of which involve the most common construction materials including, but not limited to, concrete, steel, glass, timber, and composites. The manufacturing and testing processes of these prototypes require input from professional prototype technicians.

As a Prototype Technician at D.Invent, you are expected to have an active role in D.Invent’s ongoing innovations. Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Produce, assemble, and carry out minor repair of prototypes.
  • Perform testing and fine-tuning of prototypes.
  • If required, perform calibration and maintenance of related equipment.
  • Comply with national/local Work Health and Safety policies.
  • Respect IP rights and maintain the confidentiality of D.Invent's innovations.

We are open to and welcome all candidates regardless of their backgrounds.

You will perform your work in a team, alongside other Prototype Technicians, under the direction of a Project Director. You will work either at D.Invent's facility in Sydney (Australia) or Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). We are open to a flexible work arrangement and this is based on mutual agreements between D.Invent and the successful candidate(s). You may choose to work permanently in our prototype team, or as a casual staff who will work and be paid on a contract basis.

At D.Invent, we value the ability to learn and grow along with your job. Your enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to our innovative projects are therefore critical.

D.INVENT'S
RECRUITMENT
PROCESS

D.Invent does not and will not have a recruitment process based on lengthy interviews and referencing letters.

Instead, you will receive, through your nominated email address, a small test from D.Invent. The test provides you with a simple problem commonly seen in everyday civil engineering practices - from design, construction to service. You will be asked to consider the problem, analyse, and propose at least one potential solution to address the problem. Please be noted that there is no fixed, right, or wrong answer. It is only to evaluate your creativity, problem solving skills, and above all, your level of interest in D.Invent's business.

To maintain your privacy, D.Invent will not retain your answer in our system. After reviewing your answer for recruitment purposes, it will be removed permanently.

Successful candidate(s) will then be contacted by D.Invent to discuss the scope of work as well as other work-related arrangements. Background check will also be carried out at this stage.

To apply, simply click on the button below, complete the form, attach your most recent Resume and submit it to us. We look forward to being in touch with you.
