FLOOD ADAPTATION
What Are We Missing?

For houses built in flood-prone areas, raising superstructure to a higher level than the maximum historical flood, despite its certain effectiveness, is not a guarantee for flood safety and resilience. A total/partial submergence happens when a record-breaking flood occurs, and damages a house may suffer can make it completely uninhabitable.

Raising houses above ground alone is not enough for flood safety.

HOUSES CAN STILL BE FLOODED!

Load-bearing skeleton made of water-sensitive materials significantly impacts the overall serviceability during and after flood.
When these materials suffer a prolonged submergence, they absorb water, weaken, and easily deform, causing distortion, loosening joints, cracking, even a complete separation.

Improper material combination reduces flood resilience.

FLOODED HOUSES ARE RARELY INHABITABLE!

The lowest level is not prepared for flood, with an over-simplified arrangement and without a proper consideration for water/moisture proof.

Lack of special care for flood protection leads to severe flood damages or degradation.

FLOODED HOUSES REQUIRE COSTLY REPAIR!

D.INVENT'S HOUSE
See What We Have to Offer

D.Invent's house offers a harmonious combination of conventional characteristics and optimal structural alignment, flexible material selection, and our patented innovations to produce unique functionalities for flood safety and resilience.

D.INVENT'S HOUSE IS FLOATABLE!

Automatically adapt to rising water.
Avoid flooding and flood-related damages.

Upper structure separated from footing.
To make it float-ready.

Upper floors with shock protection mechanism.
Help maintain stability and safety of occupants and furniture.

Navigators.
Help navigate floating house, allow it to descend to original position after flood.

Buoyancy generators installed inside base.
Generate buoyancy, sufficient to float the house.

Stabilizers.
Help stabilize house while floating.

Fine-tuners.
Help fine-tune local buoyancy, to ensure balance.

D.Invent's flood adapted house is designed to work in both conditions - dry and flood. Little/no operational procedure is required. Little/no power input is required.

IMPROVED STABILITY AGAINST
DYNAMIC IMPACTS!

such as flood waves, strong winds, object collisions etc.
Avoid flipping, capsizing, and imbalance.

Continuous load-bearing skeleton made of water-resilient materials.
Improve strength, reduce long-term distortion, cracking, and minimize major repair after flood.

Diverse material choices, revised floor layout and wall composition.
Balance effective air ventilation and insulation.

Light-weight, low-carbon materials used for upper floors.
Reduce embodied carbon, reduce self-weight.

Strong, solid base made of water-resilient materials.
Avoid water-related degradation, improve overall stability, protect buoyancy generators inside.

The optimized load-bearing skeleton, alongside patent-protected supplementary structures, help maintain strength, balance, structural stability, as well as safety of all occupants and furniture.
